A letter from the Editor...

Hello, my name is John Carey and I have been a fan of the music of Steve Curnutte for years and years and... sorry, I'm just now realizing how this sounds like I am standing in front of a support group. "Hello, my name is John and I... I... well... I am addicted to the music of Steve Curnutte.." only I have no idea who is standing in front of me, just numbers on a statistics page really.

But seriously, I am a fan and I have been for years and one day a few months back I bought the domain stevecurnutte.com with the intention of starting up a fan site and I finally have sat down and made some time to get it going. This site is going to be a place for news, music, and stories from the musical career of Steve. You will find some rare songs, some songs from albums, some live songs, and whatever else I manage to find hiding between.

I have been lucky enough to be on the fringe of Steves career through the years and so I have seen him live more times than I can remember. I have been in and out of touch with him directly countless times the last of which was to get his blessing to start up this site to share music and try and get his help with a few stories here and there to make things interesting. Thankfully he seemed reluctantly excited about it and so here we are today. Turns out he has been looking to get out and perform again from time to time which is wonderful and even more of a reason to get things started around here.

So as for the music, I have pretty much the end all collection of music from the history of Steve including every one of his albums both with and without a band, a handful of recordings of live shows, and some rare demo like recordings. While I would love to simply make all of that available online I feel it will be best to pace things a bit because I really dont want to have people tear through here, steal all the music and never look back. The idea of the site is to share the great stories behind the music as well as share the songs along the way. This does not mean that the albums will not be made available somehow in the future digitally because I would love to see it happen again so just check back from time to time for new songs, stories, and who knows what else.

So sit back and enjoy the site, please feel free to get in touch with me at john(at)twistedsun.net with any questisons, ideas, comments, or stories you would like to share or anything else of the sort.

Heres to a new site and the future of it..
